Meet The Renault Vision4Rescue – A Fire Emergency Vehicle Based On Renault 4 E-Tech Electric

Renault in partnership with Software République, has unveiled the Vision4Rescue, a demo rescue vehicle based on the Renault 4 E-Tech electric hatchback to assist firefighting teams with on-site reconnaissance and coordination, essentially serving as a mobile command center able to analyze emergency situations and adapt the response of the emergency services in real time.

Renault and its partners have given the Vision4Rescue some tweaks to distinguish it from the consumer Renault 4 E-Tech electric. Among these changes include a 15mm height increase for ground clearance and the addition of a second electric motor on the rear axle for permanent all-wheel drive.

The Vision4Rescue is kitted with gadgets that a mobile command center requires. The rear parcel shelf is replaced by a sliding desktop and two screens connected to a high-powered computer that controls the observation drone and communicate with other service personnel on the field.

The lower section features two storage boxes designed to hold emergency equipment required by fire-fighters such as helmets and bags, as well as electronic equipment (tablets, walkie-talkies, etc.), which remains charged at all times.

The Vision4Rescue is an interesting concept that we foresee can be utilized by many other emergency service in the near future, however, not so much for Ghanaian service.
